ASCA New Board Structure

Following changes to the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Constitution at the 2010 AGM we are pleased to announce that Julian Jones and Dr. Jeremy Sheppard have been elected to the ASCA Board of Directors for a 3 year term.  They will join current Board Members Dr. Dan Baker, John Mitchell and David Boyle in governing the Association as well as providing leadership to members and the National Office.
 
Julian Jones has previously sat on the ASCA Board as a Independent Director and was elected as a full Director at this year's AGM.  Julian is currently Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the AIS and a Life Member of the ASCA.  
 
Dr. Jeremy Sheppard is currently the Sports Science Manager, Head of Strength and Conditioning, Surfing Australia. A Surfing Australia Press Release on Jeremy's appointment  can be found here

This evening will feature a review of the 2011 ASCA International S&C Conference and a presentation on GPS technology by Andrew Gray.  Andrew Gray is the Performance Director at the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the National Rugby League, and consults to other professional sporting teams worldwide on the application of GPS technology.  This evening will focus primarily on the fundamentals of GPS athlete tracking technology and its involvement in the management of elite teams across different football codes.
