The ASCA Level 3 Strength and Conditioning Coaching Course is an Elite Coaching Course aimed at coaches working with National and International Level Advanced Athletes/teams.
Pre-Requisites for acceptance into the Level 3 Course Include:
- Hold a current Level 2 ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach Qualificati
- Completed a minimum of three years full time or five years part time coaching strength and conditioning with athletes/teams at national level or above.
- Apply for acceptance into the course providing the necessary documentation to ensure that they have met the above criteria.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates may be required to undertake a teleconference interview with the Selection Panel prior to acceptance into the course.

| Module 10: | Recovery Methods and their specific effect and the hands-on approach to recovery (Theory & Practical) |
Assessment Criteria:
Successful completion of the Level 3 Workbook.
Oral Defence and Rationale
This entails providing a quick overview of your written sections of the workbook. You will be interviewed by a panel of 3-5 Level 3 Coaches and esteemed/experienced coaches at a time, place and date to be negotiated with the ASCA. During this interview you will be asked to rationalise and defend your choices/decisions provided. You are permitted to use PowerPoint slides to aid you.
Practical Assessment in Course
This is aimed as assessing your ability to coach effectively. You must be rated competent in all aspects of the assessment criteria to pass.
